ABOUT MINDWELL
Welcome to MindWell Psychiatric Services. My mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals and families here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I believe that mental health care should be accessible, personalized, and grounded in both clinical expertise and genuine human connection.
Through MindWell, I aim to create a safe, respectful environment where patients feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward emotional wellness. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, or other mental health concerns, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you build a treatment plan that fits your unique needs and goals.
Michael Kuron

I began my journey in medicine through the United States military. After basic training, I became a Navy Corpsman (medic) and served for four years, attached to the U.S. Marines during the Iraq War. That experience shaped my commitment to serving others, especially in moments of vulnerability and need. It’s also why veteran mental health care is central to MindWell’s mission.
When I left the military, I knew I wanted to continue in healthcare. I spent several years working at the VA, caring for fellow veterans, and later transitioned into private practice. Over time, I realized something powerful: while physical health receives constant attention, mental health is often underemphasized or misunderstood.
That realization drew me toward psychiatry. I saw the impact that compassionate, skilled mental health care could make in people’s lives, and I wanted to be part of that change. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and am board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. After more than 9 years in mental health, I can say this work is exactly where I’m supposed to be.
MY PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
I believe in combining modern, evidence-based practices with a deeply personal and collaborative approach. Mental health care should never feel “one-size-fits-all.” Every individual’s journey is unique, and treatment must reflect that.
I take time to understand each patient’s story and work with them to build a thoughtful, individualized plan. This may include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, genetic testing, or medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence. My approach is rooted in partnership, you bring your lived experience, and I bring clinical expertise, so we can work together toward meaningful change.
WHY I DO THIS WORK
For me, psychiatry is more than a career—it’s a calling. I’ve seen how the right mental health care can transform lives, relationships, and communities. Watching someone regain hope, balance, or purpose is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
I’m passionate about continuing education, staying current with psychiatric advancements, and ensuring every patient receives the highest level of care. I believe that with the right support, people can heal, grow, and thrive.
