Summerlin Is Built for the Good Life. We're Here for the Hard Parts.
Summerlin is one of the most desirable communities in the Las Vegas Valley — a master-planned community on the western edge of the valley with trails, top-rated schools, and a strong sense of community. Median home values in Summerlin South run above $670,000. It’s a place where high-achieving professionals, retirees, and families put down roots and build full lives.
But busy, successful lives aren’t immune to mental health challenges. Anxiety doesn’t care how nice your neighborhood is. Depression doesn’t care about your income. ADHD doesn’t disappear because you’ve got a demanding career to manage. And the pressure to appear put-together can make it even harder to ask for help.
At MindWell, we see Summerlin patients who are managing high-stress careers, navigating relationship challenges, dealing with burnout, or struggling with conditions they’ve pushed through alone for years. You don’t have to keep pushing through.

What Makes Us the Right Choice for Summerlin Residents?
Veteran-owned practice
MindWell is led by Michael Kuron, a Navy veteran and former VA clinician. If you or a family member has served, you'll find a provider here who understands that background.
Same-day availability
Mental health cannot wait. Cash-pay patients can often be seen the same day.
Insurance accepted
We accept most major plans. No insurance? We offer self-pay options so cost is never a barrier to care.
Genetic testing available
Stop the trial-and-error cycle. Pharmacogenomic testing helps identify the right medication faster.
Personalized treatment
At MindWell, your provider takes time to actually understand your situation — your symptoms, your history, your goals — before building a treatment plan. You're not a 15-minute slot on a clipboard.
Accepting new patients
Currently welcoming new patients of all ages across Summerlin, Nevada.
Success Looks Different From the Inside Than It Does From the Outside
The community of Summerlin is one of the most financially successful communities in Nevada. Nearly half of residents hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. Median household income in Summerlin South sits at $117,035 — approximately 1.5 times the Nevada state median. Home values average $672,000. By every external measure, life in Summerlin looks like it’s working.
But income doesn’t insulate you from anxiety. A high salary doesn’t prevent depression. A beautiful home in The Ridges doesn’t make ADHD disappear or quiet the 2am overthinking that’s been keeping you up for months.
It's Never Too Late To Ask For Help
High-achieving people are often among the least likely to seek mental health support. The same drive that builds a successful career — the push-through mentality, the self-reliance, the belief that you can figure it out on your own — becomes the exact thing that keeps you from getting help when you actually need it. Asking for help can feel like admitting failure. It isn’t.
At MindWell, we see Summerlin patients who are managing demanding careers, running businesses, raising high-achieving kids, maintaining the appearance of having it all together — and quietly struggling in ways they’ve never said out loud to anyone. Some have been managing their symptoms for years without a name for what they’re experiencing. Then there are those who have tried therapy before and felt like it never really got to the root of it. Maybe you just need someone who will actually listen without rushing you out the door in fifteen minutes.
That’s what MindWell is built for.
You Don't Have to Have Hit Rock Bottom to Deserve Help
One of the most common things MindWell patients say in their first appointment is some version of: “I know other people have it worse.” That’s not a reason to wait. Mental health care isn’t reserved for crises. It’s for anyone whose quality of life isn’t what it should be — regardless of what their bank account or LinkedIn profile says.
If you’ve been pushing through for a while and it’s starting to cost you more than it used to, that’s enough of a reason to call.

What High-Achieving Summerlin Residents Often Come to Us For
The pressures of professional success and high-performance lifestyles show up in specific ways. Summerlin patients most commonly seek help at MindWell for:
- Anxiety and chronic stress that never fully turns off
- Burnout that has gone past the point of a vacation fixing it
- Depression masked by productivity and a full calendar
- ADHD that was manageable earlier in life but is no longer keeping up with career demands
- Sleep disorders driven by an overactive, high-pressure mind
- Perfectionism and the fear of failure that follows high achievers everywhere
- Relationship strain caused by stress that spills over from work into home
Frequently Asked Questions From Our Summerlin Patients
Do I need a referral to see a psychiatrist in Summerlin?
No. You can contact MindWell directly to schedule an appointment without a referral from your primary care doctor. Many patients come to us on their own after deciding they want to talk to someone. You can call our office, request an appointment online, or start with a telehealth session from home — whichever feels most comfortable.
What's the difference between a psychiatrist and a therapist?
A psychiatrist is a medical provider who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. A therapist provides talk therapy but cannot prescribe. At MindWell, Michael Kuron handles psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management. Some patients see both a psychiatrist and a therapist — they serve different but complementary roles. If you’re unsure which type of provider you need, give us a call and we’ll help you figure it out.
I've never seen a psychiatrist before. What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit is a psychiatric evaluation — a conversation, not a test. Michael will ask about your symptoms, your history, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’re hoping to get out of treatment. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out before you come in. Most patients leave their first appointment feeling relieved they finally talked to someone. The evaluation typically runs 45 to 60 minutes.
Can I do telehealth if I live in Summerlin but prefer not to drive?
Absolutely. Telehealth is available for all Summerlin residents and works just as well as an in-person visit for most conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, medication management, and more. You connect via secure video from your phone, tablet, or computer. No downloads required. Many Summerlin patients prefer it simply because it fits better into a busy schedule.
How long does it usually take to start feeling better with psychiatric treatment?
It depends on the condition and the treatment approach, but most patients notice meaningful improvement within four to eight weeks of starting medication, with ongoing adjustments as needed. One of the things that sets MindWell apart is genetic testing — pharmacogenomic testing can help identify which medications your body is most likely to respond to, which cuts down on the frustrating months of trial and error that many people experience elsewhere. Progress in therapy tends to build more gradually but compounds over time.
