Do I need a referral to be seen at MindWell?
No referral is needed. You can contact us directly to schedule your first appointment. If your primary care doctor referred you, that is great too — but it is not required to get started.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Plan to bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of any medications you are currently taking. If you have records from a previous provider, those are helpful but not required. We will gather everything we need during your evaluation.
Do you offer TeleHealth appointments?
Yes. After an initial in-person consultation, we offer both in-person and TeleHealth options for Enterprise residents. If getting to the office is a challenge, a virtual visit is a convenient and just as effective alternative.
How long does the first appointment take?
Your initial psychiatric evaluation typically takes between 60 and 90 minutes. This gives us time to really understand your history, your concerns, and what kind of support will work best for you. Follow-up appointments are usually shorter.
What if I have never seen a psychiatrist before?
That is completely okay. Many of our patients are seeing a psychiatric provider for the first time. Our team will walk you through everything at your own pace. There is no pressure and no judgment — just honest, supportive care.
